Company History:
HikeMySite.com is a college dorm start-up. The idea to start a search engine optimization consulting company grew throughout a series of meetings with keynote speakers and round table board meetings with the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization at the University of Houston.
The weekly meetings and personal interaction with successful entrepreneurs--mentors from Houston and alumni of the Wolff Center (#1 Entrepreneurship Program in the nation)--kindled my idea and helped me develop it into a marketable business.
I am still in contact with these mentors and consult them frequently with different aspects of my business. The relationships with these menors also inspired me to contact the author of my favorite entrepreneurship book--Mike Michalowicz author of Toilet Paper Entrepreneur. Mike is now my business advisor and has been a huge inspiration for my success! Mike is even coming to U of H in Spring '12 to speak to the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship as a keynote speaker in the program's series.
Name:
HikeMySite.com acquired its name from the initial brainstorming stage of the company. My goal in starting this business has been to "hike" businesses' website's Google PageRank! This means HikeMySite's services increase exposure for the client's website. Using advanced search engine optimization techniques integrated with web development and other internet marketing strategies, we provide an exposive increase in online exposure!
